Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
On that seal belt guide that goes on the headliner, I dont know if cutting the fat side or thin side would be a better idea. Post pics of whatever you do.
I need to get my brothers dremel. I'll probably do it on the short side that goes against/faces the plastic panel.
I really enjoyed my M6 in the 99 but I really don't want to go through the trouble and cash of the swap. At least $1,000 on a t56 plus pedals, counsel, gotta get a pro 5.0, harness etc... Plus between the trans rebuild and stall I have too much money wrapped up in it as it is. Besides, a 700r4 won't go flying off the shelves since only 1 year it was used in the fbody.

I hadn't planned on getting this but decided what the hay, for $3 why not. The biggest thing I hate about 93's vs 94-02 is the yellow lettering and yellow knobs that are throughout the interior. I picked up (should be here this week) 3 new hvac knobs. They are white (stripe in middle) vs the 93 yellow. -$10... So I picked up this center counsel and light switch knob for $3!!
I had my brother cut 2 slits in the headliner plastics. Not the most even cuts but i think I can live with it
I was ready to click "pay now" on summit for a set of 3.73s and an complete install kit. But I decided to get a complete rearend as money wise, is a smarter idea. Fox Slaughter (TJ) is going S60 soon. Hopefully things will work out. I won't be going to 373s but it's a 342 rear so I still think it's a great gain over my 273s.
My SS spoiler is suppose to be in Tuesday.

Sweet dude, I agree on the yellow font issue. Doing the gauges too?
I would sure like to. When did they change the clusters to the 98-02 style? It would be sweet if I could change it to that!

I don't think those clusters are interchangeable... other than the entire dash
Not happening lol. Are the 94-96 gauges white and same style as mine? are they the same in V6's too?

Overall im pretty happy with it. There are some small minor inprofections with it but nothing that isn't fixable. I deal with a lot of aftermarket panels at work so it isn't much out of the norm.
This is just a test fit. I don't have any foam under center posts.
I'll probably paint it tomorrow if I have time. Just depends how busy we are.

Dang can't believe how beat up that spoiler is especially on the edge. Thats normal for body panels to show up like that?
Yeah, you'd be surprised. I see bumpers cone in caved in half. Fenders and doors dented, bumper corners bent. They pack them so crappy. It's all good. It's easy fixed. Not worth sending back.
You need a gauge cluster from a 94/95. I think the 96/97 cars are slightly different because of OBDII and Traction Control light.
Thanks Nate. I'll look around for a cluster.

I took the SS spoiler back off so I can paint it tomorrow. I knew we would be busy today so I didn't even bother taking it with me.
What is this bulb number? It's the tiny one that goes to the shift indicator area. I think it's the same in the door bezels too.
They (gm) just really went out if their way to ugly up this interior with the damn yellow.
I'll have to go back to the junk yard and get the white headlight "cluster" and the hvac "cluster" or controls whatever you want to call them. Then I'll need a few window switches too. I already have the black/white locks for both sides.
I was digging through some parts and found out I had a lock plastic laying around. So now the passenger side is complete other than swapping the switches for black ones. I thought it would be kind cool to paint the switches body color. Kinda different. I wonder if it would look gaudy? Or even if I did them an interior color. It's not like people will forget which is up and down lol.
Spoiler will be painted tomorrow unless I walk in I have a stack of jobs on my box.
I want to swap over my new trans pan but I have been working on my moms car and a buddy's exhaust at a coworkers house, man is it nice using a hoist!
As some may know I have been looking at houses and I found one that has a HUGE pull barn with a paint booth in it. Man I could do some serious cash doing paint jobs :/. Soon enough I suppose.

Oh yea I have full confidence in your ability to fix it, I just had no idea they came in all beat up like that. Love that you're doing the white gauge swap, biggest turn off for a 93 car for me. I looked at a really nice one before I bought my 95 and just couldn't get over them. Also, no SS hood, go Sunoco or go home! Loved mine and I can distinctly remember a Quasar Blue LT1 car folloeing Nate and I to the M&G one year. Just that little bump in the hood made that car look sooo much meaner
