What's the benefits from running one? Will I need a specific install kit? He had it in his 99 A4 Z28. I want to say he spent around $600-700 without the axles? I need to get some more info on it.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostVery good price!Last edited by mcalus; October 21st, 2012, 09:44 AM.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

I have been really looking to go to the next step with this car.
Going with:
The true Trac
3.73's
New u joints
Race stars.
Now, for the race stars, I think the polished ones will look better than the black chrome. Should I go with 17's in the front or 15's? I was pretty set on the 17s but the more I see a 15" setup I'm digging them more. It's ~$700 shipped for the 15s and $860 for the 17s &15s.
On a side note, it will be going away for the winter in the next week or so, I wanted to lay some fresh marks so I could think about it when I head into town

I know on LS cars it really isnt to difficult. Just need to drill out the caliper mounting holes and get the inside of the rotors turned.

17s look sick up front but if your running a 4" rim then look at tire prices they are big $Doing less with more

Personally I'm not a fan of the 17's up front with 15's in the rear. Stick with one wheel diameter front and back, IMO. Polished would look AWESOME on that car.

I liked the 17s in the front at first. Maybe it's just the vette I saw them on that I wanted. That is true, a 15" tire is much cheaper.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Post17s look sick up front but if your running a 4" rim then look at tire prices they are big $
I'm leaning towards themOriginally posted by birdie2000 View PostPersonally I'm not a fan of the 17's up front with 15's in the rear. Stick with one wheel diameter front and back, IMO. Polished would look AWESOME on that car.
I better get them the sooner the better since I'll be getting slammed with ~700 in tires :/

Just walked around the car and this is my winter to do list so far:
-Fix drivers and passengers bezels and switches
- powdercoat the valve cover bolts
- install new trans pan
- por 15 undercarriage
- adjust exhaust tips and fix leaks
- install trans cooler that has been sitting around
- fix interior rattles (possible? Lol)
- figure out why left rear speaker is inop
- wetland and rub whole car (***** be looking good)
- fix passenger door skin
- paint exterior side maker screws.
Stuff I need to buy (should be roughly around $1700):
- LCA's
- SFC's
- Belstein rear shocks
- new trans fluid after new pan is installed
- trans temp sensor
- 373s & install kit
- rearend fluid and additive
- carpet
- headliner
- speakers (something cheap, better than junk kenwoods I have)
- heat/ac knob for interior
- NON LOCKING GAS CAP so sick of the thing
- drivers and passenger lock caps for interior.
I think all of this is doable. I hope y'all have confidence in me
I'm on the wall about the set of Dragstars and the TrueTrac. It all depends on how busy we are at the shop this winter. It might be a last minute thing.
I'm sure there will be more. Stay tuned an as always opinions are welcome2002 Z28 Camaro A4
