Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I really wish I could provide more input to your questions, I am learning quite a lot for this.

I'm glad some are enjoying it and big thanks to a lot of guys on here!!!

Got them put on, we didn't have a 11/16's deep socket so we couldn't torque down the rocker studs nor the heads. So that will all be done next week.
I really wish I could clean the intake up but I don't want to strip the fuel rails and the vacuum stuff off. Suggestions?
Questions:
1)where can I find a new banjo bolt seal for the rear coolant crossover? Part number?
2)what do I need to cut on the inside of the valve covers so the rockers clear?
3)I need the torx bolts for the little inspection cover thingy on the top of the intake.
4)I also need a oil drain bolt.
5) my buddy said I should be ok to reuse my stock balancer? Is that ok?

I'd just take the fuel rails and vaccum lines off. I'm not sure about the LT1 intake, but on an LS1 it's no big deal. Looks pretty simple from the picture
Yup, just remove that stuff. Makes it easier to clean & polish the throttle body and fuel rails/lines too as well as giving you a good opportunity to check the vacuum lines and such for small cracks. Take pics of where everything goes, and it shouldn't take more than 15-20 min to remove and tag everything, and about the same amount of time to put it back together.
I'd degrease and then blast the manifold if you remove everything, will look like brand new.

That's what I'd do too. Take it down to the bare casting and clean it up real well. I'd paint it and polish the top machined surfaces personally.
Ok I'll take a couple of details pics and tear it down. I have new injector o rings I'd like to put on anyways. I'll prolly drop the intake back off at the shop that did my heads, they did a great job hot tanking them, or what ever they did to them. Great turn around time. What color should I go with for the intake?
Thanks everyone!!!

I'd go with black or silver. Two opposites, I know, but your engine is silver so you could make it match the block too. Black would hide the grime, though so that's a definite plus for black.

Questions:
1)where can I find a new banjo bolt seal for the rear coolant crossover? Part number? I always get mine from a dealer
2)what do I need to cut on the inside of the valve covers so the rockers clear? I had Crane 1.6 Golds and didn't have to cut anything. They just went on hard.
3)I need the torx bolts for the little inspection cover thingy on the top of the intake. ?
4)I also need a oil drain bolt. Auto parts store
5) my buddy said I should be ok to reuse my stock balancer? Is that ok?
Yes

3) Are you referring to the 6 bolts for the throttle body plate? If so, might want to take it to a fastener company and see if they can find something, or try the dealer. Did you lose the originals?

Glad you guys talked me into tearing it down dropping it off at the machine shop tomorrow to be cleaned up. The inside is filthy too!
Does the pcv valve "seal" come out/ can I replace it or just leave it in? I didn't want to destroy taking it out if I could just leave it in.
