I wouldn't even try... even with cutting there isn't an extra half inch leftover said and done. My lid rubs the hood and thats with the lower skin cut out of the way. I would look into a filter that drops down ahead of the radiator. Anything you can do to eliminate the 90 degree elbow is going to help. Lid woke my car up big time from the SLP CAI.

The fact that I could tell that it has been painted, yes lol. I don't want to fix someones crap.

Edit:
Joel, any way I can do the lid swap without having to cut the underside of the hood? Rather not chop up an oem hood lol. JoeliusZ28

Bumper cover had been painted.
Dash pad was cracked.
Seats were in GREAT shape.
Dash itself was in great shape
Tails had moisture in them
1 of the fogs were busted out
Headliner was toast.

He had it up for 1100. It wasn't worth the 700 I was going to offer.

Also dont think LS cars are immune to that. My buddies 404 stroker LS2 has way more valve noise than my car, and it too is perfectly normal.
I was wondering if I was to get a set of canton valve covers and put spray sound inhibiter on them if it would help...or a diff set of rockers

This may sound weird but my biggest problem with my LT1 is the valvetrain noise even after checking valve lash like 4 times in the past yeah. Now that I have got the 2OTL its all I can hear.

BTW mike sorry for jacking your thread a little =D
