Every time this thread gets bumped, I think, "Man I hope Michael didn't sell his car."

I finally got the connectors I need for my dash harness/conversion. Big thanks to white97z28
If it doesn't sell by winter (which I expect it not to) I'll be carrying on with the dash conversion and the ttop conversion will be closer to spring so I can take it to work to re spray the roof.

Could you fellas school me on wheels spacers?
I am looking to kick out my rear 17x11s just a tad so they don't rub when I hit bigger bumps.
Would these work? Do I need longer studs?

I think I got mine from mydipkit.com ... I can't give any feed back tho since it's been sitting in the box since I bought it.Originally posted by DynoDave View PostI like the CF idea for your cold air intake and valve covers.
I've seen this hydrodipping process done, but didn't know there was a kit available to do that at home.
Poking around the web, I see several sources for these. Where did you purchase yours at? And these are coming with the film pre-printed, right? So you have to order it with the pattern you want (obvious I guess, but just checking)?
I think I'm going to do my buddy's intake first and see if I like the carbon fiber patter that I got (there were multiple to choose from)
Also once you dip it, you will want to put a good quality clear on it. The stuff they give you in a can won't hold up long being in an engine bay or being in the sunlight.Last edited by mcalus; September 15th, 2014, 11:10 AM.

Thinking of hydrodipping my cai as well as my intake elbow carbon fiber. Maybe the valve covers? Too much?
I have a hydrodipping kit, haven't used it yet.

Got the new redlinegoods shift boot. I had the thread done in a charcoal just to give it a little touch.

Some new lighting for the garage.
Need to get this up before winter!

Ive driven my car, even in its cammed/modded state in 15 degree weather and it ran just fine. Not needed at all for a summer car.

Basically GM thought under extreme conditions the tb would freeze. So they ran coolant in it to warm it. Well warm air is more dense which creates a power loss. Now we are talking g 5-7 hp but for being a "free" mod.Originally posted by alone_and_insane View PostI've heard of the TB coolant bypass, what is it exactly? You just connect the 2 coolant hoses going to the tb together then cap off the tb.

You know how many people have told me my car is just an LT and then minutes later got to see my tailights? Or at least had a reaction something to the effect of "wow, i never expected you to hang"
My car is worth to me what I think it is, no one elses opinion matters.

I'm basically to that point. I keep getting the "everyone wants an ls car, yours is just and lt..."Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostIve found that people want to buy cheap cars but they are never truly complete. My car may be a 98 and it has a few issues but its 100% complete. Nothings severely messed up, missing, etc. Your car is the same. Fully functioning.
I damn near gave my black car away..killed me to do it. Looking back I would have kept it and put parts on it.
I snapped some pics of the interior today. Got the new belt loops on and gave it a good cleaning before the guy from Craigslist blew me off last week.

I talked to Lloyd Elliot on getting my heads ported. He said it's $700 to fully port, valve job, mill, clean and assemble the heads using your valves and springs.
Sounds like a pretty good deal. I'm not sure where this will put me at power wise but I like the price!
I'm like a do chick. I can't make up my mind with this car....
