Haha you should have asked me last night! I have a set of almost brand new AC Declos (the only ones tuners recommend) They were run on my car for 1000 miles before it was tuned in open loop. $40.00 for the pair

Just remove it. In total there should be only 1 tiny vacuum line that needs to be capped off, I think it goes to the intake IIRC (drivers side).

If you are deleting EGR, Ebay sells a block off plate kit for the back of the intake manifold.

                  • does anyone have a stud extractor? i have stud extractor sockets. standard sockets not metric and im inbetween sizes. ive seen some weird ones just wondering if anyone has one?

i broke off 2 (1 on each side) of the header bolts trying to get them out. i barley put any force into it and the heads broke off. they have been soaking in pb blaster, trying to loosten them up. im pretty much at an end. gonna put the headers on minus 2 bolts. they are in the middle and prob will only cause a small leak if that. i dont want to drill these out and use the extractors that pull a stud out because these are in the head and the bolt is harder then the aluminum head. if i drill the head im screwed. im pretty much already am there isnt much room to work on these great lt1s

Don't even think about installing them without 2 bolts. That's extremely stupid. Worst case scenario you have to pull the heads and take them to a machine shop to be removed. Pulling the heads is like a 1-2 hour job if you already have the exhaust off anyways.

A set of head gaskets is less than 100 bucks it isn't that bad. Putting on a set of headers without all the bolts is plain stupid. You will yet again add yourself to the half ass LT1 statistic...

Did you really expect to start a build and have everything go as planned?

this engine isnt part of the build, lol its just a motor to keep the car rolling and toy with till the other is finished

and yes its very redkneck and half assed but ive tried 3 dif stud removers, vice grips, everything. been soaking in pb blaster and not a budge.

yes, the problem is getting a tool on them. the studs are inbetween sizes with the stud extractor socket set
