The guy also checked my valves to make sure they were sealing good and didn't need an angle job. But he can get head work done real cheap for you.

yaa off of motown. guy in farmington hills. its not a 9 but its a ford 8.8. ive done alot of research and these rear ends are very cheap to build and are very solid and realiable. a guy on tech built one for $600 and it holds 5k clutch dumps on mickey ts.

got the housing out of a 94 stang for $35 and a 31 spline carrier out of a 03 cobra for $100.

                  heres the thread http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/gears-...8-8-build.html

I've seen that build before, if you can weld and do your own fab work or get it done for dirt cheap thats the only way it would even be worth it. He even says in there that it was a lot of work. I hope it works out though, its a mini ladder bar and that is something relatively new to 4th gens. It also would suck having to swap out your wheels to a ford bolt pattern.

                    • IMO its totally not worth the hassle to swap an 8.8 in. Or esle there would be hundreds of cars with them

                      • moser makes axles to keep chevu pattern. and for just a drag radial car it will b just fine. and yes im going to fab it all up myself.

I would leave welding axle housings and brackets on to the professionals.
I have welded everything on my chevelle, but if I were todo an axle I would tack them and have a buddy tig them the rest of the way.

D&E in Hazel Park should be able to get you clutch for a decent price(they also carry centerforce). Call them up and if the price is reasonable I can buy it because I get a discount there to save ya a few bucks.
