how long does it take a shop to install rearend gears? just wondering because this is my DD and i have work or class everyday so it couldnt be out for more then a couple hours.

Ive seen it done in 30 mins, but that was someone that did rear-ends for a living, and he was hustling. I would say it shouldn't take more than 2.

ok thanks, ya i dont know how to install them im taking it to a shop to get them installed. i can deal with 2-3 hours depending.

No shame in that. Rear-ends are one of the things that you really need to have someone teach you how to do it the first time, it's very difficult to set up the gears correctly. Anyone can change them, its setting the backlash and pinion depth and shimming the lsd that is difficult.
