    Oh no, I understand the method of going through an order of torquing the bolts to ensure that the compression is even, but they still could have given me a solid ft/lb to tighten to without having the angular degree to torque after putting it to a ft/lb... does that make sense?     Torque all bolts in order down to 33ft/lb
    Repeat same order, turn an additional 145 degrees

    Do:
    Torque all bolts in order down to 100ft/lb

    That's what I mean.
    hmm, thats not the method i used then.

    I used three passes up to a final 65 pounds:

    -Joel

    • Well we're talking torque-to-yield bolts, so the TTY in that diagram is what I'm talking about - first pass is a 22 ft/lb, then second pass is a degree amount.

      And that diagram says TTY is 1996+ does that mean my 95 is not TTY?

            I would assume so. Probably different bolts. Did you have to order bolts specifically for a 1995?

                      I just bought SBC generic bolts that Creight said would work on the LT1.
