    • Don't get too envious, this IS rattle can after all and not a real paint job. Worst part is that the paint brush was like... disintegrating while I was painting the POR15 on the driver's side so I have bristles embedded into the paint that I have to sand/cut out.

      • also as for the sawzall just buy a pneumatic die grinder with a cut off wheel it'll take seconds vs. hours of cutting

            • Yeah. Worst discovery was yesterday - I discovered 5 [rust] bubbles in the paint just below my gas door.

No way to get torch or heat to the bushing. Frame and mount in the way. We hardly had room to get sawzaw in there.

                    That sucks.

Darn. Guess Red Alert will just have to get a new paint job...

Mine started developing bubbles in the bottom front corner of the driver door before it was hit. Just before it was, you could see the color of rust coming through...

...when it was hit, that little section literally broke right off...

                    • Yeah, I'm going to see how much I can get to from the inner wheel well - maybe I can POR-15 the inside. Sucks a lot, though. I don't/won't have the money for a paint job. Just plain and simple.

                          • Positive news, progress today. The pics were taken while there was still some primer spots showing - I used one and a half cans laying down ONE coat alone. After dinner I went and finished the first coat so it's actually all looking pretty damn good.
