    • And one more question, can i still have a "boost" cam that has a lil lump to it? I know, silly question, but i love the way a lumpy cam sounds

              • I wouldn't tear it down and open the ring gaps. What happens if you break a ring? Then your stuck honing/re-ringing and then it'll snowball from there.

5.3's are so cheap if it comes apart - throw another in it.

It could go 11's or 9's. Way to many variables.

Have Jonny hook you up with a turbo cam. They guy that does them for him is VERY good.

if you want reliability.. i would stick to around 10 lbs honestly.. at 10 lbs you can make anywhere between 550-600 realistically.. i would highly advise sticking between 8-10 considering you have a 4l60 and still have the 10 bolt. wait until you replace those with something to hold the power better and then thing about more boost and a retune down the line.

as for 1/4 mile times.. too many variables like campbell said

                            • No one touched the rings until that hot rod Mag came out. Skinnies has made tons of passes in the 8's with a few diff cars without touching the rings.
