Would it hurt to hook up a 12v source and make sure they work? what would be the proper way to test them

Yes - your factory feed line will limit you before the twin pumps will. Those are good pumps, not as good as the newer pumps - but they'll get the job done.

Larry - yea yea......it's close enough - fuel doesn't return from the rail

    considered, but isnt
and you can do it with factory parts. 97 vette rail, v6 return lines

If your not going to add aftermarket rails, regulator and return line - i.e. leaving it stock, your fuel system is considered returnless

The gss307 is a pump that a lot of the buick guys used before the gss340 came out.

The gss340 is more suited to flow at high pressures.

That being said - I wouldn't be surprised if they'd work just fine for you.

I assume your going to stick with return less fuel system? At 60psi you shouldn't notice a difference in flow.

Just had a friend and the guy who purchased my 4L60e stop by with a surprise. seems he had laying around a dual fuel pump out of a 99 camaro. Said I could have it. much to my surprise they are walbros. he said they worked when pulled. how do i go about testing these? anyone have a part # for the walbro that i can double check? any thoughts, ideas, or concerns? also just found out they are the gss307 model which isnt the ones everyone wants even though it is still twin 255s

I can get you one for a few bucks cheaper! Send me an e-mail to huronspeedproducts@gmail.com and I will get you over the custom spec sheet and we can get it going!

mike dont even mess around with a cam that is just an off the shelf cam. even if it saves you a little money you will be much happier with the results from the custom one

Get the Tick grind! No sense in spending money and installing something as Jeff stated will work "okay" when you can do it right the first time!

Its totally your choice but I would personally not want a cam that "works fine" in reality I don't see that cam working great for any turbo build when you can spend a couple hundred more on a custom spec'd turbo grind. You already need better valvesprings because the LS9 springs will float the valves under a decent amount of boost.

    Mike,
I bought the ls9 cam, ls2 cover, sensor and harness new for less than most cams cost. Go to langenfelter's website, the have the kit for the front cover and all the part #'s listed that you will need to order if one might want to shop around for cheaper pricing. Get the part #'s and check out gm parts direct. I think you will be happy with their pricing.

Yeah all that went with the ls2. ive had my mind set on a tu1 or tick and i guess that just put it in stone
