you seem to be leaning towards boost but i may add for the nitrous aspect if you go that way. make sure you have all the saftey equipment and its installed correctly. the bottle heater wiring is done right and to make sure it cuts off when the car cuts off as a back up incase you bump the switch or forget to shut it down. and if nothing else make SURE you have a blowdown tube. i know this picture is as old as the internet but i like to post it when people are looking into nitrous as a reminder its not something to cut corners with. dunno the exact details but this is a t/a after a bottle went boom inside the car.Attached Fileswishing i could drive like joe and the atm squad

But having a rear mount is sweet because to the untrained eye you don't have a turbo. So you're a sleeper. Plus rear mounts keep down temps. Low temps, translates to more power.Originally posted by Lucky SOB View PostDoesn't fit the "status" criteria in my mind at least. People always get disappointed when you say "yeah it's a rear mount"... it's just "not as cool" - and don't lie, part of getting a turbo(s) is to show off

Thats the point. Sleeper till you see them in your mirrors. Thats why cut outs are sweet. Nah I got a 6 banger till you cut them open and just hear a heavy breathing LTX/LSX then the Civic next to you shits bricks.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Pretty sure just about anyone that is going to be racing will be able to spot the rear mount turbo before hand. Yes, a front mount is going to spool slightly faster, but not enough to notice really. And an STS is definitely noticeable from the rear of a Camaro. I think there was a guy on here that actually cut out the bottom of the trunk and mounted the turbo up there. Looked like a slick setup, but I can't remember for the life of me what his username was. Seems like it was a Polo Green LT1 T/AOriginally posted by Fbomb View PostRear-mount assy. is pretty obvious looking at the rear of the car isn't it?
Front mounts spool a lot quicker, and the whole cutout thing doesn't exactly work if you're cammed.
I know my catback is pretty quiet but it's still obvious.

Oh yea, I won't argue that an STS won't be visible, I just think that might be what I would do to tuck it up some more. It would be hard to wrap my head around cutting up the bottom of the car though.

my sts turbo with long tube headers was fully spooled at 2800rpms. it was real loud, but yes, very visible from the rear. not much of a sleeper unless you look under the hood. but then you see the blow off valve.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater
