Same with a procharger, just swap belts. Err, and find a way to bypass the charger to the filter.
swapping belts isn't as easy as it may sound lol. not something I'd ever be doing to gain mileage.

I guess an electric bypass valve would be just as easy. Or you could do it the hard way and stay out of boost so that the bypass valve that comes in the kit does the work.

I would say boost, but I would learn toward a turbo before a centrifugal supercharger IMO

Im all for a turbo, just seems like the turbo guys spend more time wrenching than driving.

I would lean towards boost also in the form of a procharger for simplistic sake.

Compared to NA guys, you sure about that? lol

That was just what i came up with poking around on tech, the turbo guys tend to make more power but tend to have more issues compared to the supercharger guys. Obviously NA will be the most reliable, but what fun is that? lol

Im all for turbo if it can be a simple reliable setup, that keeps my AC...

any time your making that kind of power its going to be more wrenching to keep up with the setup. If your conservative and don't want more than 8-10lbs you can have a very reliable turbo or procharger car. Look at Tony's hugger orange tt car he hardly touches it and its been a perfect DD he just doesn't get greedy with boost and hp like most guys do.

The thing you have to watch out for with a Procharger is breaking the snout off the crank when you start running harder, more boost, etc. That's the weakest point of the crank.

I'm for either though. If you build it right, they'll be just as reliable as a N/A setup.

8 to 10lbs should be more than enough for what im doing. Not shooting for ground breaking numbers, just looking to add some power, and do so reliably.

I don't see many guys breaking the snout off the crank, maybe spinning on the crank which can be solved by pinning it but nobody breaking them thats for sure.

You should be fine for reliability.

Apparently my buddy has heard of it happening. He's got a blown goat, and that's he said if anything, that would be the one issue with the crank.
