  • Boost or Spray

My direct competition put down over 400 on the dyno last year, and I put down a measly 320.... There going bigger, I desperately need to keep up, and Im just not going to get there NA with the low CR/small cube of the 5.3. Its treated me well, but I need some more giddy up and go.

Looked alot at spray, but I hate the thought of not having it on all the time, the extra wiring, finding a place to get the bottle filled, worrying about nitrous pressure, etc.

But its cheap(in comparison to boost) and I can pickup another 125hp without question .

I love the thought of boost, the sound, the feeling, the status. But the $. Damn... Its expandable and movable like spray, I can grow with it from motor to motor and car to car. Its always on, less wiring, and is kinda a tune and go, set and forget, kinda thing.

I was really looking for a p1sc kit, but ive only found one kit, and it was $3500, yikes.....
I can get into spray for under a grand, and have fun with it, but I hate the look of of all the hoses, wires etc, under the hood....

Thoughts? Does anyone know anyone who has a good kit, boost or spray, for sale?

I peruse it during class sometimes - it's good to have goals

I don't want to get off track, but can you please explain the difference between P1SC and D1SC?

Doesn't fit the "status" criteria in my mind at least. People always get disappointed when you say "yeah it's a rear mount"... it's just "not as cool" - and don't lie, part of getting a turbo(s) is to show off

Size fred, a D1sc would be fine as well.

A P series is the smallest, followed by a D, then an F.

I can make 10+lbs of boost with the correct setup on a P series. More than enough for my Daily Driven needs, shooting for decent power, but retain the drive ability.

boost ftw.. that rear mount might actually be a good idea for you spencer... for 2600 its not a bad price either. the plus for that is your buddy /direct competition might not notice it as easily either

Rear mount would be ok really. Still cool with me. Just not sure about oiling issues, and how EXACTLY those rear mounts work.

Id love to do both, or an all out NA build, but drive ability would suffer at that point.
