The valve springs are from Lazer Cams, same place I got the cam from.
I have no card or specs on them at all so at some point I'm going to pull one off and have it checked.

Yes, I'm at 3/4 past 0 but every time I loosen them up they clack like crazy.
Rockers are Comp Pro Mags, Full Roller, 1.6 ratio.

I can loosen them a bit but I don't want to go to much.

Even if the springs are weak, and i see no reason to believe they are, he has his valve lash set to 3/4 turn past zero. To my knowledge that is within spec but on my car that was NOT an optimal adjustment. As i recall it was starting to pressurize the valve stem if I went beyond 3/4 turn at all. Even if springs are a suspicion try loosening up the valve lash first, it cant hurt. Some people run as little as 1/8 turn with no problems.

I believe mine are set to 1/3 turn past zero lash.
Evidence is in the dyno run and a flat line in the pwr band at 4500 RPM both times.

I had Eric with me the 2nd time I went and between the 3 of us (Me, TJ & Eric) came to the conclusion that valve springs could or are the problem.

      My cam is a 228/234 @.050 .565/.557 lift w/ 108 LSA 104ICL

alright then that isnt the problem if they clack on a looser setting. Thats fine though, one more possibility eliminated.

Yeah, I had the same thought Joel, cause mine are crane gold/gmpp rockers, and mine are set at about half turn. Im pretty sure that his valve springs are getting weak. If you could see the whole graph like I did youd see it for sure. Its a classic dyno graph of bad valve springs. On one run the tq fell off and the hp went dead flat from 4500 to 6000 rpm. And thats where he should be coming in to the power. Eric L

I would get the heads checked before I sunk a ton of money into springs and setup, etc. Make sure the ports are ok. Eric L

He has dual valve springs, and head studs. Do they make a valve spring changer that you can use on the car for dual valve springs? To my knowlage they dont. Me and kyle were just talking about that the other day and we didnt thing they made one. Eric L
