Wish I did, not up to much right now, just waiting on parts.

Waterpump and all accessories are on the way.
I have the intake and just picked up head gaskets today so I might put the heads and intake on tomorrow. But other than that its at a standstill.

ah i hear you i wish i could pull my car apart right now in this warm garage but all the tools are back at my dads house 60miles away

And I don't know what tools i may need and if i forget something i gotta go back.

I heard about your bad luck about having to go near stock that really sucks. sorry to hear that, Wouldnt the 5.3L truck intake manifold be better then the LS1 intake since its so much bigger?

It produces more torque at a lower rpm than the ls1 and 6 ones do, but it doesnt fit in the fbodies unfortunately.

that is a shame. With that intake i think youd have no problem burning your tires WELL into 2nd gear.

Any more engine build progress? I'm trying to fight off the voices inside my head telling me to 5.3/T56 swap my car.

                      UPDATE!

Started to kinda put things back together today, and ran into yet another speed bump (I was making such good progress, I figured it was about time something went wrong.) The 5.3 truck style coolant tubes dont fit under the ls1 intake. Bummer, so I need a set of ls1 coolant tubes (the things that bolt to the heads)

If anyone has one please let me know, its about the only thing holding me back now.

As you can see it cleaned up quite nice! I painted the valve covers a nice red with high temp engine paint. But when I picked up the ls1 intake I discovered it was painted, and not very well at that. So I bought some black high temp engine paint and some clear and im going to try and fix that tonight or tomorrow.

All of my accessories are being delivered by the nice guy that drives the brown truck today! Ill get some pictures up when I get home from work.

Also I found out I cant use the truck injectors as they dont work with the ls1 fuel rail or the intake, frustrating...... Because that also means that I have to change the plugs on the engine harness because the ls1 injectors have a different connector. Another set back, I thought.

So I got my ls1 fuel rail and injectors ordered, and they will be here friday. But when I was ls1tech.com searching through PAGES and PAGES of lsx stuff for sale for HOURS untill my eyes were bleeding, I seen what I had been looking for since day 1! A full LS1/4L60E engine harness out of a 99 SCORE! I got that for a very reasonable price I thought and it too will be here friday!

Also saturday Im going to meet Adam(cheif selling cars) to pick up the k-member, steering rack, swaybar, springs, basicially the whole front half of his car, lol.

                      So good progress I think.

The only things holding me back at this point.......
                      LS1 Coolant tubes
LS1 Oil pan, pickup, tray, and deflector
4L60E tranny from fbod or 99-02 truck
                      Gaskets and other misc crap.

^--If you have any of this let me know!!!--^

Hope everyone likes what they see! Let me know if im forgetting something or if you have any advice!

                        Forgot to add.....

Also need ls1 gas pedal, throttle cable, cruise module with cable, and any brackets including the ones that hold the cables to the intake.

They need to come from a car withOUT traction control.

Im having a REALLY hard time finding this stuff so if anyone has it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

I think I still have those coolant tubes lying around somewhere.

Sucks about all the speed bumps along the way, but the progress looks good.

Speed bumps just make the end result more rewarding.
