What would be a good asking price for a 5.3 long block?

Years ago I got mine shipped from Portland, OR for $600. 44k miles, fairly complete - missing starter, alternator/PS pump and bracket. I'd say I have about $1200 total into it with the LS1 intake, fuel rail, injectors, harness, ECM, accessories (L99), Z06 cam, LS2 lifters, oil pan, conversion mounts

correct, that also typically includes all covers like rear and timing cover ect but doesn't means accessories themselves. Yours may have a tad more value if its aluminum with the 243/799 heads but they are all ballpark in the 500 range.Originally posted by my1994z28 View PostDoing less with more

Depends if its iron or aluminum, what heads, etc.
I paid $350 for my 60k LM7, complete. Intake to oil pan, all accessories, and the computer.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

Christ on a bike, if 5.3L motors are this cheap with low miles I just might put one in everything I own including my John Deere riding lawnmower. Did you guys see the latest GM High-Tech Performance magazine project "Leeroy Jenkins"? The GMHTP clowns took a rusted out 1st generation S10 and dropped a 5.3L + 4L65E in it.
