I'm very tempted to call that guy.

                Offer $400.

Truck manifolds and AC compressor are worth $200 in themselves.

What's the difference between the 4.8 and the 5.3 that he mentions?

                      Geh!

Would be nice to pick something like that up. $400-500 5.3

Sell some stuff off of it. Manifolds, AC compressor, ect to get some money back.

Sell the LS1 for like $1500

Throw some cheap rods and pistons in the 5.3. Could probably get a budget motor built for $2000-$2500 and be into it for under a grand total.

crank is the same stroke as a 6.0L in a 5.3. both have the same bore i believe

4.8 and 5.3 same bore diff stroke. Therefore share the same block and are marked 4.8/5.3 on the front.

Only difference between the rest of them is bore, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, and 6.2 all share the same 92mm stroke.
