Thats some bullshit. I would have walked away both times.
    I have a 4L60 if you need one. (A 4l60 is a 700R4) A 4l60E is different.

But this might be a race for who will have their LS1 third gen on the road first. I have a goal for the end of May.

Yeah, I need the 4l60e for an ls engine, you are correct. I normally make a hand gesture and walk away also but between work hours and parts availability I wouldnt be getting anywhere. If I am not mistaken I also need the trans from a fbody due to the torque arm mount. I also need the accesories from a ls f body unless there is another cost effective way to do this. As far as a race to the finish.....thats not happening. Lol. I just want to get it running enough to move around under its own power. For now....

You can pick up a 2wd truck or suv trans then swap out the rear tail shaft housing.

A 4L80e will fit? I still need a tail shaft housing from f body then for the torque arm mount. So I need to find a housing then. Edit: you are talking 4L60E Trans from a light duty truck.

I'd trade my f-body tail for a truck tail with little cash on top

I have a line on a couple used ones. I am willing to take a chance on one for the money. Another question about the truck trans. What do I do with the shifter shaft? What is the modification?

unbolt the the shift lever, take off the electronic shift selector and bolt on the camaro lever.

The correct lever is getting hard to find, no longer in production.

I switch the shift shaft out for the shorter one, just need to find the now "ultra rare" shift arm

So the extra lenth on the shaft doesnt hurt anything, and works as is?
