Robin, it's your IAC. My brothers car did all the same things and that is what was wrong with his. It almost acts like the car is cammed and has idle lope, lol. His would stall at 50 mph if you didn't have your foot in the gas. I had to drive it about 10 miles with it just about floored and braking at the same time to keep it fom dying. Get this checked out soon, cause no offense, but you will have a very difficult time having to steer the car and brake from high speeds with no power.

Ok, thanks. I'll have Kyle check it out. It hasn't given me issues the past 2 days though. ODD!Originally posted by my95z28 View PostRobin, it's your IAC. And which o2 sensor would that be robin? There is a upstream and a downstream o2 sensor. I don't think that it is your o2 sensor. I have driven a few vehicles with failing upstream o2 sensors and they didn't run rough. This is because instead of the computer relying on that o2 sensor to tell it what to do, it falls back on what is a called a basic fuel map. This is a map that tells it how much fuel to give based on throttle position instead of what it is actually doing. You will get terrible gas mileage, but it will still run okay with a bad o2. Now, what did I tell you before about the IAC? I said that a car with a bad one started to choke and died on me at 50mph. After knowing that this could be your problem, and knowing that it could die on you at speed, you went on the highway with it? That was a very poor decision. I know you have another vehicle, quit driving the bird till you get it fixed!
