OK, now this is really weird!!! It stalled at the light. It stalls unless I'm giving it gas. In fact, it will hold speed at 30mph with me even giving it gas (i don't have cruise control, so it's not that). Tony said maybe an O2 sensor. But it doesn't stall if I put it in neutral at the light and rev it a little.

does the idle raise and decrease?
It could be an IAC but everyone is guessing without actually seeing the car

My money is on the O2 sensor..

my trucks cat went out.. had a new cat and 2 O2's put in by a muffler shop.. well some of the O2's wires was frayed.. so it was still running like poopy...

well, it would be sitting at a red light.. and all the sudden.. it would try to go.. like you said.. it was trying to brake torque itself or somthing..

put new O2's in it.. and problem is fixed!

I know it sounds weird but could it be the torque converter trying to lock up when she comes to a stop?

Yeah, when it holds at 30MPH

Just think of a torque converter as the piece that replaces a clutch in an auto tranny. If its locked it cant slip which would make the car want to stall.

                            I agree.

If ya want to find out if it's the torque convertor just unplug it at the transmission. It ain't gonna hurt it.It will freewheel like a stall convertor that will help tell if that's what it is.I don't believe it's the O2 sensor I don't have one hooked up in my 88 Chevy truck and it runs fine.It sounds more like a vacuum leak to me but I'm not all to familiar with the 2.8's either. It's just a guess.
