Looking forward to hearing how the swap went for you.
            I have never swiched from a 3.4L to a V8, only a 2.8L to V8.
Of course that was the only V6 I ever owned.

You can buy crate LS7's....if you have about $15K for JUST the motor. then you need everything that goes with it!

I'd just get the LS1 if I get anything, but I'm starting to think maybe I should take the 6 grand and turbo my v6 and then use the other 3 grand for other supporting upgrades to add to the car.

6 grand to turbo it! Wow that is an expensive turbo kit....

Are you thinking about building the motor then to handle nice boost or leaving it stock and boosting it? If you were thinking building the motor I would go with the 3400 conversion, this will give you a great gain in power without even turboing yet. Using the megasquirt setup you could tune it or convert to OBDII so you can tune that way. If you are using a stock 3.4 engine then having a FMU you should be able to handle 5-7 psi without tuning.

LS1 would take a lot of electrical work and manual labor to convert everything over unless you find a wrecked ls1 to use as a donor car

Nono I meant 6 grand spending money, 3 grand for the turbo and then the extra 3 grand leftover for the supporting mods (fuel pump, injectors, etc that I hear people doing as supporting mods, but I don't know shit about )

3 grand for supporting mods is a nice chunk of money extra that could include engine upgrades.

yeha i know i was refering you can a ls-1 really cheep...... and i know that you only get a LS-7 out a 06-07 C6 Z06 vet since my dad is thinking about getting one or the new blue devil vet...... and u can pick up a ls-7 motor from 10-15000.... but in all reality you can build a 402 and twin turbo or S/C it and make alot more power
