The demise of my 3.4L

She's back! Fixed some exhaust leaks, an EGR delete, and Sean fixed some horrible exhaust rattles that I had! I'll take some sound clips later, sounds a LOT different!

It gets a little bit like a deep sounding fartcan when I get on it, but I think it's much better. I'll get some daytime videos with sound soon.

Anybody want to help me get my car running better? It's running like s*** right now, exhaust rattles, rough idle, same as Meissens. Just started a couple of days ago, when I'm pulling out of the parking lot at my dorm, the car idles rough, even when I'm giving it gas, it jerks like crazy, shaking the car. The exhaust rattles really bad, probably the usual problem with the heat shield over the cat. I'll probably end up taking it to a muffler shop, I need to have the tailpipe rebent, it was pretty messed up after the Meet and Greet back in June. Hopefully, I'll have my whole car done, as far as appearance goes, by spring. It's gonna be awesome. Is there anyone around the Adrian area that can help me fix my car this week/weekend? Or perhaps a couple of suggestions as to what I should try to fix first?

Perhaps if there were some cash offered someone would be willing to make the drive. Keep in mind gas prices. If you want Nick I can talk to Drew (Insomnya3am) and see if he'll help. I'm paying him $100 just to bring my new rear end soon. Maybe if you can throw some cash into the pot he can stick around for a day and help you to troubleshoot your problem. Just an idea, but since we are in the boondocks and it is cold, you are going to have to sweeten the deal for these guys.

I was willing to drive to someone else. . . my car is still driveable, but we would have to do it somewhere else, because I have no air compressor, welder, the barn is still tore apart having the furnace installed, I just don't have the tools I'll need to do this. Brian, what sensors did you have to replace? I can check those out first.

If it's rattling like crazy, really REALLY rough idle (almost sounds like you have a racing cam in there from the lope idle), REALLY rough when you're going a constant speed, but smoothens out when you're giving it gas, you'd have the same thing going on with your car as was with mine, and that'd be the EGR valve. John (Wasjo / Jowas) said 3.4Ls are notorious for bad EGR valves. I'd start there, I had Sean just remove my EGR all together and put a pipe plug in to cancel it out.
