Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I was just going to say if you're doing plugs you'd have a better time just dropping the whole k-frame assembly out. Let me know how it goes with those ARP header bolts. I have locking bolts and I can honestly say that I have never checked the bolts since I installed the headers. I probably should sometime just to make sure they're good.
I'll let you know how they work out. You should check those bolts, after all those heat cycles they may have backed out a bit. Doubt it though since you ain't have problems. Also, I'd drop it but I'd rather not. Then I'd do more with it out and I don't got more money to spend this year. Gotta save some
I'm going to really be doing it alone, with the kind thoughts of how this is a terrible idea from my grandfather He doesn't like loud cars, yet his car is about 1000x louder than mine Oh well, I'm moving out soon
My parts came yesterday. Ordered at like 2:30 pm on Thursday, they were at my door at 11 am Friday morning
Brought my headers home from Port Huron this morning too. They was some slight banging around in the back seat. So now my installation should be easier since there are some minor dents in them
I'm pushing my headers back until I solve my issues with the suspension. After the Meet & Greet, I noticed my rear end mainly is swaying, as in moving left and right, up and down. It seems to only happen on the highway. Yesterday on my way home from dyno day it got bad, but i was lucky my exit came up right away. The back was all over the place, and was not even predictable. I crawled underneath today when the rain was suspended, and checked it out.
I took a few pics of the PHB because I couldn't just get one "good" one. It feels rock solid in there, but it just doesn't look right to me. LCAs feel good too. The bushes do look like they were replaced when the shock were done 10k miles ago.
That PHB looks destroyed. I would replace the lca and phb with tubular, it made a world of difference in my car, completely eliminated wheelhop under forward acceleration.
1998 Pontiac Firebird T/A, M6, LT Headers, ORY, Borlamouth, tubular LCA and Panhard bar, lowered 1.5". More to come
Yeah, I'll add it to the shopping cart. Soon as I get my stock rims sold, I'll be ordering the PHB. I'm pretty sure this will solve the issue.
Yeah, the stock one is fairly flimsy, and if it is bent as much as it looks in the picture, its structure is compromised greatly. I am happy with my foundersperformance pieces, and they were cheap too. Id recommend doing the control arms at the same time, i think they were less than $100 and I think they make a difference.

Yeah,I think I'm going to buy the founders on car adjustable PHB. Funds don't allow LCAs right now. Founders is $89 plus shipping which is going to push it over $100. UMI is $129 with free shipping. I'm pretty sure the reason it is this bad is because of the 315s the dummy PO put on the car.. I've hard to correct a lot of the stupid mistakes and ideas he had.. Stop leak has been the cause of my biggest headache.. Glad that is over.
I won't be really driving the car for a bit. I'll be pricing out some more. The founders rear package is $100 plus shipping, just not adjustable. My birthday is coming up soon, somebody buy me some presents lol.
I honestly dont see the need for an adjustable phb... My car is lowered with a non adjustable bar and the axle is still perfectly centered
Also the stock phb is designed to fail when the car slides into a curb... Might be what happened to this one at some point in the cars history. Thats the one thing that scares me about running a tubular bar. Its better but could cause permanent damage if that ever happened.

I don't really have plans to lower the car. I'm just going to go non adjustable. Why spend more money..
That is a possibility too, it never showed up on Carfax. who knows. I also never thought about that part with a tubular bar..
I'll do some shopping later. Thanks for that info Joel.
Just realized i made an error there i have a tubular bar on my car but it isnt adjustable. I dont recommend using a stock bar despite what i said.. Just dont slide it into a curb
