Eh, what's 5 dollars it'll bite me in the ass one day but who cares. Now I gotta figure out my electrical problem because I am 99% sure the heater hoses are at fault. I seen em drip!

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I got finals coming up so I probably won't be working on it. I'm debating if I'm going to replace the radiator hoses too. I think I should because they may be original. I'm praying to the opti-gods that my optispark will be good too. Can't forget the cooling gods too [emoji23]

When you replace bulbs are you being careful not to touch the glass part? Might be something as dumb as that. My car has literally had the same bulbs since i bought it 12 years ago so this is one thing im not well versed in.

It has only been the headlights to go out. I wore latex gloves when I did any other bulb. So I'm not sure what is going on with it. I washed the car recently, but they were working for the next few days, so I'm a little puzzled as to why it would just go out all of a sudden. I'll replace it, and if I have more problems I'll do some further investigations.

Waiting on parts. Ordered all new AC Delco radiator hoses. Got a new cap for the recovery tank. I think there was one hose that I couldn't find. But it's fine.
My turning signal LED bulbs finally came the other day too. I was too lazy to install them since I'm not driving the car.

                I hate waiting for parts.

So I found the CarFax that I printed out before I bought the car. And it had some electrical service done to it in Sept. of 06. So I shot the dealership, which is down in Florida, what kind of work that was done to it. Eh, it's a long shot, but I don't have anything to do so I might as well do some detective work!

I think any Chevy dealer would be able to pull that data for you.

Didn't think they would. If t[his dealer doesn't follow through with this, I'll swing by a dealer in my free time.

Warranty maybe, but customer pay? The car was 9 years old when the work was done.

I believe the car was a leased car and the car was bought by the person who leased it. I believe the dealer did all the work prior to sale. But who knows. They did a poopy job installing the door lock switch

Actually, warranty is probably wiped out...I work at GM and have tried to look up my 2000 in the Global Warranty system, and it's not found - no data.

You're right, it may be too old...I haven't found a way to get into the dealer network system here yet to see how far back it goes. I guess what I am saying is the systems are all networked...I believe (not 100%, but I am fairly confident) that if work was done on it at a dealer and there was something to see, any dealer could pull the report. He's not solely dependent on the one in FL.

I knew they could see warranty history, but did not know they could see CP work across businesses like that. That's very interesting, and good to know.
