Again, I think so, but I could be wrong. Do we have a member that's connected to a dealership that could confirm?

Well, the dealer said I would need permission from the owner that brought the car to the dealer to get it repaired because it contains personal information. I have no idea how I would get a hold of the owner from 8 years ago.. lol well that's a bust.

      Parts came in today!

      Old leak spot.jpg

These were the spots where it was leaking. So I should be all good as soon as they go on. I'll throw up some pics when I do it either Friday whenever it's not raining.

I have a question! My rear side indicators look shot. I tried removing the night shade off of them, and it didn't work so well. Should I put clear ones on, or go with red?

Alright, well I ran into a problem. A stupid problem. So the bolt that holds the metal pipes that are part of the heater hose, well it doesn't want to come loose. To make matters worse, there is almost no room to get at it. To make it terrible, it's a stupid the bolt has an allen head on it. WTF GM? I'd like to meet the dingus who decided that a regular bolt would not be suitable....

There it is, hard to see sorry. The A/C compressor is really in the way. I didn't think I'd have to remove it, but I looks like I may have to. Any ideas?

Allen head bolts... At least you're not dealing with a TPI - damn thing is covered in them. LOL

Lol damn. I don't understand why they would use them... Seems like it's a 1/4 in.. Removing the A/C compressor may be the only way. Going to try another method tomorrow. If that doesn't work, off with the compressor!

So I ended up breaking the bracket. I just kept bending and bending until it finally snapped. Had to quit for the day because I got school work to do for tomorrow. Will HOPEFULLY finish the car..

Then I have to address the oil leak... It's leaking at the point where the engine and trans meet. Looks like the rear main seal. I had it replaced around this time last year too. It's a shame, paid decent money for it to be done.

Well... I got the heater hoses out, with a little bit of struggling. Turns out the bolts were not allen, but they had a star head on them. Used a star bit, and a 1/4 inch wrench to get it out. Had to do some cutting with bolt cutters and some branch cutters lol. Cleaned the passenger side up a bit too. What a pain in the rear this has been.
Oh well, at least I'm learning more things.

Cut the pipes because the way GM wired the damn car, the put a bundle of wires in between the pipes and the engine.. Genius

Did a little cleaning, was terrible before

As you can see, you can compare the two. I'll be cleaning it a lot more for the Meet and Greet, if I can make it

Didn't see that you were trying to use an allen wrench on that screw, I could have told you it was just a T30 torx bit.

Haha it's no problemo. The reason I thought it was Allen because when we did get it off finally, it looked like someone tried to pound an Allen wrench in it. I'm going to put a more traditional bolt in tomorrow.

Everything is in. I'm gonna do a write up on the heater hoses because I didn't see one on here.
Need to put belt on, fill with coolant and vroom vroom. I'll have to replace the alternator some time down the road.
