• Well, I know its not from the parking brake being pulled up. I have the DRLs disabled so the light doesn't work when you pull the parking brake handle up. It's also broken so. But it still did it before i disabled them. I can't think of anything else that could be sending a signal to the PCM. Maybe the car is just haunted

I have some replacement front calipers coming in today too that I plan on getting powdercoated or painting blue.

• Well.. I think I found the culprit. According to a Mustang forum.. yes I know.. Mustangs. There is a guy on there who has the same problem as me. Steps on the brakes, light comes on. It can be due to low fluid level, or just that the pads need replacing. I haven't changed the pads since I've owned the car. I have no idea when the last time they ever were changed. Carfax doesn't even have anything on them being changed so, but I doubt they'd list something like that. I believe that the PO painted the calipers when he brought the car to Michigan from Florida, since they are red. I would think he would have replaced the pads when he did them. The car has been in Michigan since 07, and the PO did about 13,000 miles. So the pads would only have 15,000 miles on them.. Pads are supposed to last longer I thought lol. All in all, it kinda makes sense, kinda doesn't.
Another fault could be Vehicle speed sensors.

• Nope. Brake light can illuminate due to abs sensors. However the light isn't coming on all the time now. Problem 90% solved,!

• Few things. Can someone remove the [Project] and project before NYTRDR from the thread name. It's no longer a project.

I fixed the seat spring today. I was feeling the underpart of my seat and noticed something hanging down, so I pulled it and saw it was broken. Ordered a used one off eBay. Going to make a few of them as well.

Annnnnd lastly, my shifter knob locked up for some reason. It went on like butter, then just locked up. Can't get it off. So, if I dont have it off by the meet & greet, first person to get it off gets $5!

Now to finish my A/C and the car is donezo.

• Im not 100% but I believe there is a wire on the proportioning valve. That will set a brake light if it senses air in the system. Could be incorporated into rhe abs. I cant remember for sure though.
Dan bring the car over Ill get that knob off. I got a tourch , no sweat. I could use the fin.

• It looks like the proportioning valve is built into the master cylinder. There were no connections going to the MC, so I think it's safe to say it is an abs problem. I went out earlier to see if the brake light was still coming on, and it isn't so. I rinsed off the car yesterday, and since then the light hasn't came on. I'm going to go over the ABS sensors when I get a nice day out and feel like doing it.

As for the shifter knob, zeeman You wouldn't damage my beloved Hurst knob or the threads now would you?

• The combo/proportioning valve is built into the ABS block. There is a switch that is normally open but will close with unequal pressure, which causes the BRAKE light to come on. The only other way for it to come is by the ebrake switch.

I got the nickname TiVo many years ago, and now a few people call me Mike Ross (from the USA Networks show Suits) I have a knack for remembering numbers and unimportant things...

Anyway, try bleeding the brakes again. Do it with the car running and the old school two person bleed.

I know some of the older ABS units (perhaps some newer ones too) benefited from being activated by scan tool while bleeding...helping to purge trapped air from the ABS unit. I'm not familiar with the unit on these F-bodies. Does the factory bleed procedure include this step?

• Managed to get the melted license plate bulb out. Nothing like a red light there to attract attention from the police It'll be white soon I promise.
