I was going to do a FI 383, but I learned very quickly that the money to get it right with that combo is a lot. A LOT. Do a carb with a stroker.

Big Block in a Third Gen is a tight fit & not worth the time or hassle IMHO. I'd go with the Small Block 383, It would fit the car much better too.

shhhh! no telling! haha.. yea I think I am going to go the whole 383 route for this.. was talking about possibly doing forced induction.. not sure on that yet.. but whatever I do.. want to keep it under the stock hood.. I like the look of the car too much to rip it all up.

The terminator EFI seems promising for the simple fact that you can pull timing on the fly. That makes it very bottle friendly and keeps the manners while just cruising.

Looks like the cam has .490 lift, which is the exact max. lift allowed by those heads as built. If I'm reading those numbers right, I'd like a little bit of a buffer there.

oops haha.. I was also looking at the summit vortec heads which had a lift of .520 and the aluminum ones caught my eye..

so what do you think makes more sense.. sticking with the aluminum heads and dropping in cam size or sticking with that cam size and going with the iron vortecs.. or finding a different combo all together?

You're welcome bud! Anytime I can convert a Camaro owner over to the "good side" then I have done my job well.

Enjoy it man, I'm sure you'll do me proud. Can't wait to see this thread progress now.

I'll fill in some of the details, but I'll let Jeremy tell his plans for it.

It is a 15th Anniversary car. It's an automatic. It was built at the Norwood plant. Car was sold new at Orson E. Coe Pontiac here in Grand Rapids, and up until now, spent it's entire life in West Michigan. Which given how solid the car is, that's surprising. It must have been stored winters by the previous owners. What's interesting about this car is that it was built after my Van Nuys car (also a 15th Annv), but has an earlier sequence numbered VIN . I saved it from the hands of an abusive, young hack a few years ago with the idea of doing "something" with it.(it's needs some love) That never happened, and due to a recent acquisition I ran out of storage space. So rather than see it sit outside, I offered it to Jeremy.

I'm certain Jeremy will enjoy the car, and will take to the next level. A level I never had the time or space for.

                              Sounds sweet.

The first T/A that caught my eye and got me shopping F-bodies again was a 15th anniv. car. I'm jealous.
