    • Update. Fought ABS issues all season, and contrary to what Kyle thinks, it is very, very necessary in autocross. Think I've finally tracked the issue down so hopefully it will be solved for next year. The 335s were a huge improvement but required some changes. Went down to a 35mm hollow adjustable front bar from the 35 solid, and softened the back a bit. Had issues with the rear bar at Nationals on day 1, but fixed it for day two and was only .050s out of the lead. Wound up 3rd all said and done.

Just ordered a new fuel pump today to finish the E85 conversion. Hoping for 400whp on the stock heads and cam, and ~3120 lbs without driver (3270 with). Also adding LCA brackets over the offseason and depending on how everything else goes may lower the car another half inch or so. I did cut the fenders a bit to fit the wheels better but I didn't trim anything. Still need to bend them to their final position and re-weld.

Also bought a house specifically so I have a place to work on it. 1050 SF house and 900 SF garage.

New brackets...stock location but stiffer? Different location?

          Thanks.

Just off the shelf UMI relocation brackets for the rear. Should help correct the geometry and allow me to get on the throttle earlier on corner exit and hopefully assist the diff. Normally this would also increase the risk of wheel hop in the brake zone but the decoupled torque arm and junk rear pads should help minimize that.

Also forgot to mention we had our annual autocross at TRC at work. Nick Robinson brought the factory NSX that he took up Pikes Peak. Basically a stock car with a cage and an exhaust and some well used Trofeo R tires. He ran a 59.6 on the course we laid out and I did a 57.7, so 1.9 seconds faster than the NSX. Not bad considering it was closer to a road course than an autocross.

            • Nice Devin! My car seemed to like the relocation brackets in the rear. However my setup isnt anywhere near finely tuned as yours. Theres a lot id like to change on my setup.

Yeah I anticipate it will take some tweaking.

Figured while I'm doing this pump swap I might as well go all in. I'll be deleting the complete EVAP system since the car only sees street time on the way to/from events. Doing a 6AN stainless feed line with a 6AN return at the rear bulkhead, then up to a 6 micron Fuel Labs filter, then to the rail. Capping the EVAP nipple on the intake and removing everything all the way back to the tank with just a small filter on the vent. Saves money on lines and removes weight up high. Also eliminates the rubber line up front that likely won't play nice with E85. I would have left the hard lines but the nuts are extremely rusty and I like scope creep.

Hopefully before it hits the road again in late April all that is done, as well as fabricating new sway bar links and mounts.

                • I did that same project on my car but I kept EVAP. Doing just the 6AN lines themselves was way easier than i thought it was going to be. And its nice having that routed away from the hot exhaust.

Fuel tank is prepped, old one is out as are all the old fuel lines. Going to weld up the work of the jackass who trap doored this car as well.

New lines should get here tomorrow. Going to mock everything up and run them, then rip them all out while I take care of all the welding.

                    • So is it required to have the fender cover the tire without adding flares?

                      • Nope, tires can stick out as far as you want. I just want to lower the rear another 3/4 to 1 inch and don't want issues with tire to fender contact in pure bump.

                        • Gotcha. Are you adding a flare on top of that?

                          • Not planning on it. Really only care about function so rather than cutting out the spot welds that are on the lip, I'm cutting vertical strips in the fender so I can pull the whole thing out until it clears. Then I'm going to weld everything back together.
