The last 98 roller I got was $800. Full leather, one rip in the driver seat. BMR swaybars, new TrueTrac in the rear. Clean car.

I have another roller with a bad door/mirror and rear quarter, a little rusty.

Yes, it's the Fays2 from Strano.

That sounds very similar to what I already have. I think the biggest issue is finding a place to put it until I free up some room.

I think swapping bodies is good idea, that body work isnt going to be worth it.

Is there any reason not to buy a 93-97 or V6 car since I already have a complete drivetrain? I'm thinking about getting a running car so that I can take the time to rebuild my transmission before swapping it.

Subscribed! Looks like a fun project. I need to weigh mine in the spring and see where it's at.

Bought another car to daily so the shell swap is delayed. Been working 70+ hours, out of the country for a few weeks and it's just cold as hell so I haven't even stepped foot in the garage.

No rollers for me until I slay my CC debt.

I'm pretty certain I killed the battery in the Miata yesterday so I'm probably going to order one that can be used in the Miata, the bike, and the Camaro. I know many people have had good luck with the Odyssey PC680 but it looks like lithium batteries have dropped in price. Shorai's LFX14L2-BS12 has better specs than the PC680 and only weighs 1.68 lbs. The only other issue is I'll need to pick up a tender/charger without a desulphation mode (right after I just bought one with it.)

Of course after I talk about not buying a shell, Curt dropped off one tonight. First order of business is stripping the remaining HVAC and other miscellaneous items out of the car. After that I will be sanding down the rust that has just started to take hold and repainting it. The underside will be getting a solid treatment of POR15. After that the Watts link will be going on and my axle will be swapped over, followed by a slow swap of the other parts.

The only upgrades I have planned at the moment are new bushings in the front suspension, rebuilt steering rack and pump from Turn One, and poly engine/trans mounts. I might also replace some of the gaskets on the engine while it is out of the car. No pictures today but I will take some before I start doing anything to it.

Didn't notice the red mirrors on it...I might have made a bid on them when I was there

                                Let the fun begin!
