Sometimes I do wish I was slow since I wouldn't have to worry about the rule book as much. Unfortunately I do plan on taking this car to Nationals and I'd like to think I would be in contention for a trophy. At that point anything that's not right will be picked apart.

Well is swapping 2002 oem parts onto a 95 considered modification then?

In ESP they allow you to make use of update/backdate, allowing you to swap anything from a vehicle on the same line (1993-2002 Camaro/Firebird.) Engines and transmissions have to be swapped as an entire unit but everything else can be done by piece. The only big thing is you can't modify anything to make it fit, it has to just bolt right on.

I found some rot on the drivers footwell which is odd since it is happening from the inside out. I've decided to pick up a welder to fix this, and I can use it to replace the rocker on the M3 as well. Right now the leading candidate is the Miller 211 Autoset. I'm loving the fact it can run on 115V or 230V, allowing me to do sheetmetal on 115 and run an extension cord from the drier if I need to do anything thicker. I figure I'll just cut holes in the old shell and learn by stitching them back together.

Probably from a winter... If there is a hole in the floor mat water (sometimes with salt) drains through to the carpet and soaks in, then has no way to ventilate. Happened to my DD this year and i didnt realize it i had to pull the carpet out and steam/dry everything.

I wasn't exactly looking to spend a ton of money today but two great deals popped up.

First a set of 17x11 ET44 CCWs with old Hoosiers on them. I've also got a line on a brand new Miller 211 welder that I'm going to look at later today.

Oh man those wheels are sweet. What does something like that usually go for?

The last few sets I've seen all have gone for $1300 plus shipping. Retail on these seems to be $2700 and the tires are $1400+ per set. The tires on these don't have any fast times left in them but they should be good for some tinkering before I order new ones.

These should offer a bit more grip

I'd say pretty close to double the amount just in size alone. Sweet!!!

Made some progress. Luckily all of these parts that are in terrible shape are things I planned on replacing anyway. Always suspected them of being shot.

Nice! I can't wait to see more progress pics! I hope to be doing an LS swap sometime next year. Just bought a new daily/winter beater. I'll be keeping an eye out on updates
