  • yeah the most confusing part is probably putting the new connector on as you have to pull the float wires out and repin them into the new connector.

    • Congrats on getting everything back together and right. It sure is an accomplishment on these cars sometimes.

Glad you are happy but thats why i could never have a stock clutch, a performance clutch is supposed to be right at the top! Unfortunately a lot people that buy them dont know what theyre getting into though. Just like a with a cam, you sacrifice driveability for performance and a quick enganging clutch can shift a lot faster. Im almost afraid i went too conservative on my new clutch i will have to see how it breaks in, but im stuck with it now.

      • I think if the car had a much larger cam then the Spec 3 would have been a good choice but a 224 is much better fitted for a stock style clutch.

Theres only one way to settle this Joel: you, me, Onondaga dragway.

              • If you would like I can come data log it somemore once its fixed. Maybe it will help you get that tune close if you email the new data log back to the tuner.

                • Its been a complete month since the last update in this thread!

Been too busy at work and getting the house ready for winter.

Yesterday my car blew the weld out of my crappy mufler yet again...time to get serious about exhaust.

I am dead set on true duals.

This is a direct clone of TSP
                  http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-Ca...a0954a&vxp=mtr

Car would be too loud with just that so I am going to need some bullets/mufflers.

GMMG style chambers is what I am currently thinking. Question is, will my adjustable torque arm create issues? My car is also lowered.

                  Any input would be appreciated.

                  • Adjustable torque arm does use more real estate. Id ask on tech. Worst case you can have a shop adjust it.

Youre going to pick up a ton of power with this...

                    • Do you have a body mount TQ arm or a trans mount? If you have a body mount you will need something very custom to get duals on that car.

                      • Its a Random Technologies trans mounted torque arm.

I found this picture and think this is damn near perfect.

                        • I dont think you will have any issues clearing that style of dual. Mine hit the torque arm because the muffler stuck out a little bit even though the inlet to the muffler was offset. I had to "massage" that muffler a bit to fit after the new torque arm. But again, this is nothing a shop cant fix, and do it the right way unlike me.

                          • Anyone know how to get non monsoon speakers to work with the monsoon system?

                            I bought the wrong speakers

                            • Youll just have Xzibit speakers. It will be a high out put from the head unit to the high output from the amp. So it will be high output on high output dawg!

                              • You should just be able to rewire the connectors. Woofer positive and tweeter positive together, Woofer negative and tweeter negative together. Solder those pairs to their respective speaker pigtails wires. I sent you two of them and am still looking for the other 2. Once I find them, they will be in the mail to you. If you need wiring help, give me a call and I can walk you through it.
