Maybe I missed it, but is it still 98 PCM?

    I've learned a LOT with EFIlive while doing my 98 A4 Camaro (VE table w/ WBo2, RAFIG/RAFPN, TC/TF, etc) and it's free to tune 97/98 LS1 PCM's

Duals will be cheaper than just about any catback new in my experience. Hell I'd bet you could do dumped stainless duals for around $400 + mufflers if you really wanted to do it right. You'll regret not going with what you really want the first time. Agreed on waiting for the tune until you do the exhaust though. Tune should be the last thing done IMO.

Yes its a 98 PCM. This car is very mod'd yet very stock.

Im going to do the tune before exhaust, I think the tune is just that far off. Got a lean SES code the other day, Id rather have the tune right for driving around town then exhaust at this point.

This is the exhaust it will end up getting:

Spoiler came out pretty decent. Entire thing needs to be wet sanded and buffed but the color is perfect and I got no runs or anything like that. Depending on the heat I may be able to finish it up tonight. It gets tint on Friday, lowered on saturday, hopefully I can get the headlights cleaned up/ whistlered on sunday. Got a buddy coming over tonight to give me an estimate on painting everything.

anyone want to buy a spec 3? Id much rather have a stock clutch....

Nice work on the spoiler. Spray bomb clear?

just understand that if you get it tuned now it will need to be retuned again. However if its lean with a restrictive exhaust it would be even more lean when it can breathe. I'd find a company that will do retunes once you buy the first.

If I were you I'd give the spec more of a chance. I hated hated hated hated my spec 3 when i first bought it, but eventually I realized I was the problem and it actually suits my needs quite well once I adjusted my driving style. If you do go back to stock, then LS7 at a minimum. Stock LS1 clutches cant even hold stock LS1 power.

If it was a 6 puck it may be keepable but I just know that this clutch will be short lived. 4 puck clutch is just not for me and my goals for the car.

Yes its spray clear, guys at work bet me I couldnt make it match for 30 bucks. I went about 20 over in paint but its pretty decent for a spray job. Put lots of prep into it.

Im going to get a tune by Ion.

Kind of want to just hack the exhaust off and see what difference it makes being open Y lol

Hack the Y-pipe and clamp a bullet with a turn-down on it. Cheap fix for the interim. Certainly no louder than duals lol

My stage 3 is a 6 puck, is it different for LS1s?

They offered two ls versions, 6 puck and 4 puck.

This car has the 4 puck.

I don't think the 4 puck is sold by Spec anymore.

Got windows tinted yesterday 20% on hatch, sides, and a windshield strip. Waned to do the whole thing but I have a small mark in the glass and decided the strip will be temporary.

Put new strut mounts on, that solved my clunk.
Cut the springs, not as low as I wanted but it looks much better.

Got a belt for the AC, too big. Got another belt for the AC, to big. Noticed I have an ASP crank pully. Went and got the correct belt, AC WORKS!!!!
Blows nice a cool, clean, with no issues.

Pretty stoaked for my progress today.

Ill post pics when I get home.

Not sure if you sanded and buffed yet, but be very carful. It is very easy to blow through spraycan paint. The is, what I understand, is the big drawback when doing spraycan. Pretty much any paint, when wet sanded and buffed will turn into a very nice surface, but spray can just doesn't go on thick so you don't have a lot to work with. If you do it at all, I would focus on just the main large surfaces (top of spoiler) to sand and buff... leave all the others alone... Hope it turns out well. Pic looks like it did. Sweet!

Thanks dan, I did end up going through. Figured something would come up, and it did. Turns out there are two "Bright Red" 's and one Victory red. I picked the wrong Bright Red....super. Back to stock spoiler for a week or two.

So far so good, have a mail order tune coming this week from Ion. Decided on a 6500 rev limiter. Anyone want to buy a Spec 3?

Here are some pics as it currently sits. Need to take half a coil or a full coil out of the rear to match the front. What do you think?

Also did my best to clean the headlights up. Was going to wistler but I didnt want to break them when trying to get it apart.
