No sir!

Most of the kit is installed. I was removing subs/amp/carpet to install the bottle mount. Found a rust hole. Only the size of a quarter, none the less cut it out, welded in some new metal.

Did the whole inside in chassis saver.

I got a quart size can, so I will be doing the rear end and underside of the car as well.

Also, the transmission is out of my car.
Sold the Revamax Converter, getting a Yank ordered up on Wednesday since they've got they’re 10% off sale going on.

Darren is doing my brakes and LS1 front swap parts now, so that'll be wrapped up soon.

My goal is to be done by the second week of April.
This shouldn’t be an issue.
I just like taking my time so everything is done right.
And I don't exactly have a lot of free time at the moment.


On a different note, I got my hands on an LT1 short block, and most of a 24x conversion.
So I will have a project when I finish this one!
I almost want a 3rd gen.....

Like Mike said you want a non-projected plug.

I'd start out with a br7ef - you could probably run a 6 but a 7 will work fine and keep some more heat out of the chamber.

The colder the better IMO. If you can keep them from fouling on the street than run them!

Then you probably don't have much to worry about.

Hook it all up - get the bottle filled - then test for leaks before you hit it.

Yep, it's the little box. Those are AN for sure.

It was my understanding that you don't need a sealant for AN style fittings? So what is the red stuff that comes with the Gen X accessories kit? It is in a little tube with a precision applicator. Does not mention it anywhere in the instructions. Also the bottom two sections of my box had nothing in it, am I missing something?

BR6EF. You don't want a projected tip plug for nitrous. If you hit it with 150 or more I would go to a #7

What plugs should I use? Have TR6 now. Running around 12:1 compression and the 100 shot?

Read same. AN no sealant, NPT sealant.

aren't they tapered, hence no reason to use sealant.

I've always heard not to use any sealant on -AN fittings because they seal themselves. If any of the fittings have an NPT fitting on them, those should use sealant. It's probably for any gauges or senders included in the kit.
