  • Ok, I have been MIA for over a month. So, now that most of the madness is settling down at work, I can get back into the project and keep the updates flowing.

I did manage to get the intake repainted and installed, repainted the fuel rail covers (although they still need to be sanded and rubbed and two other colors painted), installed rear steam vents, hot side wrapped and installed, re-plumbed some lines and other minor stuff.

            • Is that an internal wastegate turbo? Reason I ask is I don't see external wastegates anywhere. Sorry if I missed it in earlier posts.

No, if it was internally gated you would see it. Strange sounding but internally gated turbos are visible on the turbo. Very rarely will you see internally gated stuff on anything larger than a T3, and even those are becoming very uncommon in the aftermarket world. This one runs a 44mm gate, you can catch the corner of the flange in of the pics. He just doesn't have the gate mounted to it yet.

Ok I see it now. Do you just dump to atmosphere on your kit?

Yes, but its relation to the downpipe is very close. Would be very simple to route it back into the downpipe if you wish!

                    • Kinda of a slow day today. Had the radiator/condenser/fan combo in and out several times. I gave the core support a "slight trim" to allow the rad combo to go forward slightly to give plenty of clearance between the fans and core support and also to clear the turbo.

Finalized the trans cooler and lines.

Aftermarket, same as yours. On the condenser in this situation however

                          • Finally recieved my heat wrap yesterday and finalized my pipes. Nice fit!

Installed the IAC, nice tight fit.

Also, finally recieved my BMR 1" lowering control arms. I want to keep the current stance but not have it ride like it has a solid suspension.

                              • so the lowering control arms allow you to lower the front 1" while using unmodified stock springs?
