    • Gen III engines will live to 200k easy if treated well.

The engine is fresh, trans is a ticking bomb The underside of the car is decent but the body has seen better days and I have never seen an interior so filthy.

Don't look at cars in the dark

      • Am I really going to have to drop the engine/trans just to get this transmission filler tube in?!

            • Yes. You cant install the dipstick tube with the trans still in. Its just not possible. Make sure you put the rubber grommet on the dipstick tube or in the hole before you reinstall the trans. The tube wont come far enough out of the hole to install after the fact.

If your good you can get the trans out and back in in roughly 1.5 hours on your back with hand tools.

                  I was thinking about it

But...I might put in the 4L60E in that I just built with all the goodies in it. Gives me a reason to clean up the underside a bit as well. Just not the easiest doing all this by yourself

                  • On another bad note, I think I bought the smallest cooler ever I thought it would be a lot bigger than this...I doubt this will work better than the stock upper radiator hose setup.

                        • haha

If you want to send it Mike, I'm not going to say no. You keep sending things w/o telling where to send money

I might just run the cooler for now. If I like the car (decide to keep it) I will put in a couple stacked plate coolers - one for the trans and one for the power steering. Maybe use this little guy as an oil cooler?
