Got any pics of the front bumper?

That is very cool that you havnt found much rust, in the "usual" spots!! I have got rust in just about all of them- some of the spots are through the metal, unfortunately.

Cant wait to see it all cobalt blue man. Everything you have done so far will all of a sudden pay off after that. Gotta love the gratification a new paint job can give!
thx chris i appreciate it,yeah i have some pictures of the front bumper cover i did, that onr took alot longer to make perfect,it was pretty bad.

me either im getting really excited to finally see it in blue,ur right the hard work will defenatly pay off in the final product, reperation is the number one thing in a great paint job.

                          • got a little more progress done tonight, the roof is completely sanded to 400 grit just waiting for my new gallon of 2k primer to come, ran out so i can finish that and block sand it,found a couple more tiny blemishes in my rear bumper so i reworked that as i was block sanding it,also began working on the door shells got all the old weatherstripping off and started sanding them with 80 grit and will continue all the way down to 400 grit like every other panel on the car, these door shells are in amazing condition for being 33 years old no rust holes anywhere, just a couple tiny spots of surface rust and not even any rust by the drain cutouts where they always rust or along the bottom edge them are perfectjust some sanding and primer is all they will need before being painted, not evena single dent in tthe shell wich is amazing.

                              • yeah me too i was amazed at how little rust i found on the body of this car,but its been in storage over 15 years, hasnt even had an engine in it in atleast 12 years.cant wait to bring my baby back to life, even the bushings and body mounts are in good shape, wich soon will be changed for the energy suspension ones.and will get all tubular control arms and suspension upgrades in the near future.
