now that my subframe was all painted,it was time to move on to the firewall,sanded that down and applied 2 coats of 2k primer but there was some places that nedded smoothing so i fixed them and applied 1 more coat of primer to the firewall

no i dont have a weder right now,but soon im gonna be making a firewall plate,either that or getting one of the DSE ones.but thats for later.my camaro funds are running kind of low right now,but should get better were finally getting some overtime,that plate is sealed really well under it.the place where i have my car right now,doesnt have any 220 to run my welder.

now i sanded my firewall down with 600 then 800 wet sand.and applied my coats of coblat blue metallic.

yea having a welder does help, Ill post some pics of my buddies 70 lemans that we did smoothed the firewall as well...you are moving right along though

i tried to pull the plate off but the guy epoxied it on,i was gonna build a new one,that one is way to thin to weld.so i made all the dementionsof the firewall and me and my brother are gonna make a whole firewall plate to make it even all the way across,but thats for later,as im gonna be puttting a new and bigger cam in next summer,then it will get the new plate then when i pull the engine for cam change,also gonna work on getting some 14*heads for it and new 14*intake.

thx greg yeah would love to see that 70 lemans,love those cars,was a chevelle guy before i got into camaros.also it can give me some good ideas.

so now it was time to wet sand the doorjam with 600 grit and wax and grease remover and apply my 2 coats of cobalt blue metallic and 2 coats of clear coat.
