Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

spent the day sanding my roof with a 100 grit wet sanding, and then i decided to re-shoot the roof with clearcoat, glad i did it it came out so much better its like glass, probably could have continued sanding with 1500 then 2000 and buffed it,but now it will look even better when i color sand it.

yhx camaro42 i appreciate the kind words,it what keeps me going,i will be posting many progress pictures, yeah the door came out really good yet to find any rust just a few dings in the door, but took time to get them perfect,me too i cant wait to get my tranny in so i can wheel it outside for some pictures, got the tranny back from the builder, monday my cousin will be here to help me install it.also gotta touch up the yelow overspray in my engine bay.
thx dirty T/A i appreciate it,i love watching ur progress too, cant wait to see it painted, yeah im looking forward to get some good pictures out in the sun, shouldnt be too much longer i atleast wanna get the doors on first.im hoping for monday or tuesday to have the tranny finally installed.
thx brian i appreciate that alot, yeah i seen i have lots of views must be doing something good.just try to do the best job i possibly can with what i have to work with.i have a change of plans though,im thinking of painting that yellow with some por-15 black, that yellow doesnt go real well with that blue like i hoped, tell me what u guys think,i have all new tubular control arms, shocks, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar, centerlink, and all new bushings that will be professionally installed once i have this thing together.
por15 is too expensive for my taste, go get yourself some rustoleum oil based paint, but a cheapo harbor frieght gun and some paint thinnner and go to town, its cheaper and holds and protects just as well

yeah the por-15 brand is kinda expensive, never tried the rustoleum, but i will have to brush it on,dont wanna take the chance of getting any overspray on the blue,i have used SEM rust shield a few times, its the same as por-15 but half the price, and goes on really smooth with a brush, just like por-15 does.just wanna cover that yellow with some black,i might give that rustoleum a try.
if you use black rustoleum make sure to thin it a little otherwise youll definitely see your brush strokes. if you can take it off and not have over spray id say spray it with a cheapo gun because its easier that way and covers nicely
yeah i got some quality laquer thinner i can thin the rustoleum with hoping to use the spray gun,if i can get blue all maked off good enough already pulled the inner fenders back off to make it easier, the hardest part will be masking the firewall from over spray, gonna give it a shot, will be picking up some rustoleum today.thx for the tips i appreciate it.hope they have a flat black i think that would look cool for the frame and control arms.
had a good night last night working on my camaro got the th350 tranny all installed, just gotaa bolt up the torque convertor and its all finished and install the drive shaft but wanna put new u joints in first.
