This is exactly what I had to do, drop the k and lower it on a jack because I couldn't get to the top bolts because the Quicktime isn't tapered like the stock housing.Originally posted by Nocooler View PostStock Kmember and quicktime bellhousing - it's tight with the engine up as high as it'll go I need another 1"

Pan is out - it'd be back together, but I ran out of brake cleaner
O-ring wasn't pinched
- the pan had a some graphite in it from changing the head gaskets, but other than that it looked good.

Getting work done - pan is on, k-member back in place, engine mounts bolted down
I don't know why everyone on tech complains about how much of a ***** the poly mounts are - everything went right back together.2000 Formula

Learned a few things out last time.
I'm lean - no fuel ring - nada, plug is 100% clean - and the timing mark is really close to the bend.
I made a pass with the bottle off and forgot to shut the kit off - and it picked up 3 mph on the motor spraying fuel only......so I'm going to have to add some fuel n/a and see if can get some more out of it.
So I have some tweaking to do - and it should pick up.2000 Formula

Well I also found out why it was so damn lean on the bottle - apparently the timing wasn't dropping when it hit the airmass tables that I pulled it from.
So I've been spraying on 30* of timing all along
Plugs all looked good - no signs of detonation, and they all had straps
I've made some changes to the tune and I need to see if the timing will stay where I set it or if I've got another modifier somewhere adding timing.2000 Formula

dang I didn't know you were trying to push this motor so hard
I bet it sure felt like a hell of a pass. good thing you caught it early enough on and didn't hurt anything.
