        • Had to rip the intake mani off and send it back to the shop. Should have it back Monday. Other than that, we're ready to tie up the last few things and turn the key... I hope

              • Short story:

When removing fuel and vac lines, one broke off in the intake mani. We assumed the builder would remove it. Forgot about it until the engine was back in the car and we were hooking up vac lines. We then broke an easy-out off in the line... So had to tear the manifold off and take it in.

                • D'oh! Hate when that happens! Looking forward to the progress updates when you get the intake back -- that's a great car you have there!

                  • Well we got the intake manifold back and repainted, so tonight we reinstalled it and the carb. Also had to modify some bends on a vac line that goes from the carb to the trans. Some of the bends were 3" off from factory!

We also picked up another carb off eBay to use for parts, so now our carb is fully completed with factory fittings that were missing after the rebuild.

Anyways, we're hoping that with working a couple more nights this week and this weekend, we should be able to turn the key later on Saturday or Sunday.

Goal is to have it reliable and any kinks worked out by the Woodward Dream Cruise!
