Hmm the mike i was thinking of is closer to ann arbor and he isnt mexican. I was going to buy them for $300 on a saturday but someone else rushed in and snagged them. But mine were mint with the same red bowtie caps. I was going to use them for autocross wheels.

different set of wheels, and if you could have gotten some mint ones for $300 then you should have left whatever you were doing to get them. I paid more for these, but yeah they were in the ghetto... But yes his name was Mike in fact. What tires where on the wheels when you sold them?sigpic

BFG comp tas and they were still on the wheels. I sold them 10 years ago for $300 to buy my SS hood. the guy never put them on a car. I had class that night, wasnt going to skip over a set of wheels i didnt need when we were in the middle of a huge blizzard. oh well.-Joel

mhm interesting, I was just trying to figure out if these where the same wheels, but I doubt it because the guy I bought them for would not take $300 for them... But they do have BFG G force tires on them.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostBFG comp tas and they were still on the wheels. Joel I can investigate more when I get home, these wheels are as new as I have ever seen them minus maybe the really nice set Brian had at one point. I wonder if he did buy them and then flip them, he literally had 8 sets of wheels in his garage. But he kept saying they were not his... so it threw me off. Either way I didnt care since I was getting a good deal IMO too. $300 is a steal, I am surprised you sold yours for that and where was I!?!?
Here are the only two pictures I Have of the wheels.

I dont think those are mine the tires look different and i dont think the insides of my wheels were that spotless either. Looks like you got a nice buy!
I sold them for $300 because i wanted quick money to buy my SS hood. LT1 SS hood's don't come up locally often, it was a decision i dont regret. But yeah, theyre worth more than $300. I was going to pick those up, sell both sets of salad shooters and put new tires on the ZR1s for autox this summer. Still might try to find another set now that the idea is in my head.-Joel

I know of a polished set, not as mint but still look nice. If you want the sellers info... You and rolo can fight over them, I told him to post them for sale here, and they would probably sell.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostI dont think those are mine the tires look different and i dont think the insides of my wheels were that spotless either. Sometimes during the summer I am down there to hang out on woodward. I will try and stop by sometime when you guys are around.Originally posted by Darren View PostYou ever around town at all anymore? If you are stop by and see the progress. I will be very disappointed if this car isnt drivable this year but Jon is really helping me out recently to try to get it done. Jon has been busting his butt as much as I have recently. Hoping its on all 4's here soon, and then I can get the motor running and then be reintroduced to a big pile of sand paper again...

well no one can say that it didn't make it out of the garage this year...
photo 1(5).JPG
Few small changes in the engine bay, not sure they are really noticeable.

Big Thanks to Jon, he wired up my fans this weekend, he did it really clean and stealthy got the idea from Curt, hid everything in the same location he did. Jon did it really clean and I dont think it will be noticed from the engine bay.
Brakes are 90% done just waiting on a few things and then I can bleed them. Also installed the new clutch slave and bled the clutch, so that is done. Interior is going back together, slowly, but it is starting to look like a car again. A little more work on the radiator shroud and the LS1 fans will be fitted into place. Only thing left in the engine bay is wiring the lights up and painting the delete panel and lots of cleaning...
Front end should be painted sometime in the next month is my dreams.
@bigjon88 - Thanks! Curt as well for hanging outsigpic
