There where these isolators, or compressors or something installed on the springs when I bought the car, I have no idea what they are really called or what they really are. However Brian noticed them one day while over and he thought they may have been restricting the spring or actually making them "space" out actually making the car ride higher. Well one night jon and I got bored and CUT them out, Now just noticing the result of the action in the front.

Now whats the easiest way to remove these front springs going to have to do some cutting or ordering, one of the two.

I'm a little confused about what you have cut out...got any pictures? I've only seen the small isolator on the top of the spring.

I've always raised the car up and put jack stands under the frame rails. Then I pulled to front tires off, compressed the spring by the lower a-arm until it barely lifts the car. I strap the spring in with a chain or good rope so it cannot fly out, unbolt the strut and lower the jack. There are write ups all over for this. Or you can get the spring compressor

We cut out something that looked like a spring compressor that had the springs compressed from sec coil to the bottom coil

Ah... Yeah that'd probably cause it to sit higher.

That's it grandpa..... Made it sit lower that what we cut out now looks higher

hmm thatd certainly lower the beast. to take out springs jack up the car all the way get as much tension off the lower control arm as you can, id take off all the springs and such and then use a crowbar and your foot and the gracefully pop out
