The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Haha not quite, my car still runs and has a front end and rear... Although the interior is starting to look like yours I don't think I need to disassemble anymore. Actually I can start putting a lot of the rear plastics back in and working on the dash again. Plus one will be ready come summer time

Tonight = more sanding of the filler and more laying of the filler... Hood looks great tho, one or two more spots too work on and I think it's back to mint. The rear quarters are starting to come around but are going to need more work to look good. I'm really pleased with how the car is starting to look. Long road ahead tho!
yes I think that is the plan, one way or another I hope to have a hand in spraying the car. Details still in the works if it will be in my garage or somewhere else.
Darren I have no idea how I completely missed this thread, must have confused it with another. I had no idea you were doing any of this! If you want to borrow my steamer you are more than welcome ... I didn't read the whole thread so apologize if that's done already. Also let me know when youre working on it. I'm not good for much with my back but I can still drink beer and order pizza! seriously though I miss working on cars your the only one I know doing anything. Also I have a good paint your own car book you can borrow if you want too, it was recommended to me by wmccjames.
By the way awesome work so far I've always wanted to be able to do body work like this. And if you need a rotary buffer for the final stages you're welcome to all my equipment for that too... It's just sitting idly on the shelf.

Thanks Joel on both accounts. Work was good this week, actually got some primer on the hood and it looks good too (IMO). My garage side door is always open when I am or (we) are out there working on the car. If you got a free night you are more then welcome to come by and hang out. I wont be able to do anymore work on this till the weekend, I have a viewing tonight and then the funeral tomorrow so next time I'll be out there is friday. Going to be a long process but I am sure by spring the body will be ready for real primer and paint, I should also have the engine running the way it should and the interior all cleaned up nicely too!

Well I had read a couple chapters in and it seemed very good so thank you! Unfortunately though right around the time I was getting ready to buy some materials to get started is when I screwed my back up so at least for the time being I've had to put those plans on the shelf. I am still improving so maybe there will come a day I can get back to detailing and projects like this. For now I'm using it as a sign from God to invest my efforts in other projects more based around brain power than craftsmanship
