Dan, thanks for the diffuser material. I need to get more space between the led's ans the back side of the lens. There are still "hot spots" even with the diffuser in place.Originally posted by s8bayer View PostThat is funny. That is the place I found while searching. Then I thought I would just ask you. You know, I might be able to help you with that diffuser thing. PM if your interested. Anything to help that car come along! Man, I am amazed at what you are doing!

This will be good for now so I can finally get this damn thing on the road!
THANX Dan!!!

Yippie!!!!
Finally got the hood back from the painter's this week. It has only been over there for over 5 months!!
I started to sand and rub the hood inner which is quite a task.

Then the rear heat extractors had to get paint in the ports because the traditional paint gun can not fill them with paint. I ended up shooting them with a semi-gloss out of a rattle can.

While the paint was drying I decided to "fool around" with some lighting in the door panels........

Unfortunately, this did not work because i could not make the light pipe look consistant throughout the door trim panel, plus rtv would not stick to the plastic panel.

I ended up with this.....

My God, what an inspiring thread! I love your ideas and attention to detail. This guy slaps an LS2 in a firebird and it's perfect! I can't even get my damn LT1 running right now in its original form!! FML

Here you go Don, this store has everything: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...specs/WFLS.htm
I still want to put a diffuser lens behind the outside lens to mask the "hot spots."

Very easy except for the HVAC bulbs. For some reason I had to break them out and then grab the filement with a pair of needle nose to get the rest out.
*And they actually work with the dimmer switch somewhat, which is more than what I was expecting!
