• I ordered injectors last night. 36# remanufactured Denso/Bosch injectors for $120 shipped. Got the link from pferris, thanks man!

I also told Livernois that I'm going to get the car tuned elsewhere. The injectors they were trying to sell me were $550, and they said they're 1-2 months out for "special" customers for a tune only. I think I'm going to go with Vector Motorsports.

Before that can get done, here's what's left:

Install BMR torque arm
Install LS1 steering shaft (already reindexed, just gotta get it installed)
eyeball the alignment so it's reasonably close
bleed brakes
top off trans oil level
install strut tower brace
reinstall front bumper and hood
tighten front sway bar endlinks (has to be done once the car is back on the ground and the suspension is loaded)
weld exhaust (had to cut it off for disassembly)

• Huh, I guess I haven't updated this thread in a while. I've been working on it slowly but surely. Ran into a few hiccups on the way, but it's closer than ever to being done. All that's left is to weld the exhaust, get the air out of the brake system, and get the tune done.

I need to ask about the brakes. I'm running into the same issue I had before I had to start over 3 years ago. It will hold pressure while the car is off, but once I start it up, the pedal goes to the floor. I bled the ABS block, then the brakes, then the ABS block again. Am I missing something? Do I need to do one of those computer things to cycle the ABS to bleed properly?

• Go buy a vacuum pump. They're like $40 at oreiley or any auto parts store. It will pull air out from anywhere. I use it for my clutch too. I love it, one of the best tools I've bought and felt I got my money's worth after the first time because it worked so well!

Get it, watch a YouTube video on how to use it and go to work!

• The Camaro moved under its own power today! Got it towed to a shop in Plymouth for exhaust and brake bleeding. After that I'll go to Firestone for a lifetime alignment, then I'll be dropping it off at Vector on Tuesday for a tune.

• It's called Frank's Auto Reconditioning. Got in touch with him through the Motor City Motoring Club. He's close by, and he really seems to know 4th gens very well. He's built and parted out a number of them over the years. I told him about this group, so hopefully he'll be checking it out. He frequently buys and sells 4th gens for parts.

• Interesting. That's good to know! He's like 2 blocks away from me, might have to walk over and chat him up one day.

• So I hit a little bit of a hiccup this morning. Went to Firestone this morning to get the alignment done, and they discovered that the upper control arms in the front were apparently installed on the wrong side. I felt like an idiot, so I went back to look at the pictures from when the guy I bought the whole front setup took it out of the car. They're on the same side as they were at that point, so apparently he had them in wrong as well. I have to cancel my dyno tune appointment for tomorrow morning, because there's no way I'm driving all the way up there without an alignment.

• What was the verdict with the brake bleeding?

• it was a combination of the ABS thing and chasing down some micro-leaks in the system. I had Frank's Auto Reconditioning handle that and the exhaust.
