labeling is obvious, as well as pictures. I have a feeling it will be apart for a while so I want to make sure it all goes back together smoothly.

I fully expect something unexpected to come up though. 177k miles has to take its toll on something.

Roughly 30-40 hot 'n' ready pizzas
Roughly 10-20 cases of beer
A comfy chair to sit in and stare at the car when you're frustrated
An extra $1000+ for misc. things that will come up
A couple hundred dollar budget for new tools, big projects are great excuses for new tools
Good lighting! I'm a firm believer in good garage lighting

I have a dedicated garage computer. That way I don't have to wash my hands every time I need to look up a torque spec, part numbers, etc.

Holy hell. I'll be doing my cam swap for a grand total of ~$400. If I had to go buy everything retail it would be roughly $700. What all are you doing?

Nate, I'm pretty excited for you. Will be nice to see some new life go into this car! It's always been a looker, and this should make it a pretty well rounded driver.

Thanks, its not gonna be anything crazy like yours or troys but will still be a nice runner. Not making any "goals" for the dyno but I want it as high as I can get it.

$400? you can hardly buy the proper gaskets and cam with that kind of cash. Mike would do it correctly and buy some nice valvetrain components to go along with the cam itself I'm sure, hence the cost.

I try to not pay full price, ever. I did forget to add in gaskets and bolts, so add ~150 to those numbers.

Just did the LQ4 w/ 1041 head gaskets, new head bolts, Comp 918's, Comp 7.400 hardened rods, and TR224 for a little under $570.

Not a race car though

After an amazing days work the motor is out, on the engine stand. Car has kmember back in with steering shaft. Hood and wheels are on ready to be rolled back outside for the winter. We started at 930 and was at dinner in the next town over by 6:00. Huge thanks to Ben, Kyle, Scott, and my friend Cody. Here are some pics.
