        knew you would say that.

Just got my bowties from B. Franker....caps are going back to black.

Going to find some nice silver caps as well so I can swap depending on my mood.

Uploading a lil video to the tube right now.

        • Much better with the silver caps. With black, I can't help but think of those Kia Soul rims

          • Here is a little video I threw together. I NEED A CAM, my car feels fast until you get into a cammed ls1 and then you realize how "slow" my car is. With time it will come.

              • nate i have tan ttop shades you can have for free. you would have to die them or line them with black felt but at least they will be factory fit. im coming down to the metro detroit area for easter i can drop them off with joel if ok with him, he seems to be out your way more often.

                • Somehow my front brakes started really acting up and developed into a serious problem. Decided that I was not putting any more money into my LT1 setup so I bought front and rear LS1 brakes from a member here.

                  Pics:

Big thanks to Scott for helping me out yesterday. These brakes are incredible. You guys that have 98+ cars dont realize how worthless LT1 brakes really are. Car stops well now. It has made me realize how important rear brakes are and that LT1 rear brakes are just as crappy as the fronts. I will swap those in a few weeks. Biggest improvement of all is my acceleration. Hate to say this, I think my brakes have been stuck on/slowing me down for a while now. My car feels fast again. It revs quicker and feels lighter. Thought I would have noticed something like that but I have a 13 second car now

For the record, banjo bolts are a PITA to find. I ended up going with bolts from a 2005 Tahoe 2WD, worked perfect.

To do the swap you need:
                  Left and right spindels
left and right calipers(bleeder goes up)
                  Discs
                  Pads
                  Caliper brackets
Caliper bracket bolts(M12 x 35 x 1.75) - These must be high strength bolts, not regular steel.
Brake line "banjo bolt" - I used Doorman HELP 13912. This will not come up as an fbody part, it works perfect
                  Brass brake washers- 4

                  • Thanks for posting the information - ill be on the lookout for parts. Think im going to do this instead of C5 brakes so i can still run 16" wheels.

                            • Thanks Brian.

What would make my car run rich and use gas like its going out of style? Last few tanks havnt been very good and I have been pretty mild with the fun pedal. Car also smells like unburnt fuel much worse all of the sudden.
