nice. how did you remove the crank key? just take some vice-grips to it?

I actually used a small steel chisel and taped it out from the bottom (me laying on my back).

Well I got a bit more done today

While I was at work I removed the shaft and bearings out of the water pump.
Anyone know how to tell if you water pump is bad?

Anyone wondering how to remove these parts you must 1st press the shaft out from the front of the pump (impeller facing up) then press the other bearing out from the back.
And you get this

Like I said a few post ago if I got the parts for the rear that would go back in 1st before anything so that is what I did tonight.

Don't look like I'll get back to this till Sunday

Put the new seals in the Timing Cover and plugged the water pump hole but it's not pic worthy

Also got the computer back from Baker all bench top programed and ready to go

alright!
I did some double checking today on the harness to make sure things were cool.
They weren't be cause my car is a 93 :/

95-97 have a C105 plug and my 93 don't so with some MORE searching on Shoebox's site I was able to move the needed pins into the C100 plug.
This is only needs to be done because my car is a 93!
From what I can tell if you plan on doing a 94 you will also have to do the same because the C105 plug didn't start till 95.

That is about all I got done today!
Rear will go back in tomorrow than I'll start on the motor again.

Progress thus far:

I got the water pump drive hole plugged and seals in as well as the cam sensor bracket and 24x pick up.

New IAC holder from TPIS so I can upgrade to the 95+ IAC that is in my harness

Then engine wise I got the Crank Timing gear put on as well as the 24x wheel
I still have to take a little off the Crank key so the Hub slides back.
The 24x wheel is a loose fit and needs the Hub to keep it in place.

I plan on having the motor all buttoned up by the weekend and have the PCM and harness in by Monday or Tuesday.

It's way to slow for my liking but it is progress non the less.
If I didn't have to do the rear I would have been done by now but that is ok.

Well things have been busy!
For starters I lost my job so that whole week was a wash, really sucks!
I did have a wire switched on my PCM but I fixed that.

I'm excited to say though that my car fired on the 1st try!

A real bummer is that my radiator has a hole in it so I have to wait t ill Monday to get her fixed

So any how back to my install.
I started back up with the timing set and getting the cam sensor attachment assembled.
A note when putting the timing set back on:
You will have to put the cam sensor pickup on with the bolts 1st or you will not get it on.
You must also drive back or cut your cam dowel so it don't protrude and get picked up by the cam sensor.

Once you have the cam sensor pick up on you will have to use the bolts to pull it back on.
